Google Review Removal for US Businesses

In short: You can get a Google review removed only when it breaks Google's content policies, for example a fake review, a review from a competitor or ex-employee, spam, harassment or personal information. FairReview checks each review by hand and files the report through Google's official tools. There is no upfront payment: if Google does not remove the review, you pay nothing.

How Google review removal works

  1. Send us the review link Message us on WhatsApp with the link to the specific Google review (not the business profile).
  2. Free policy assessment A person on our team checks the review against Google's published content policies and tells you honestly whether there are grounds to report it.
  3. We file the report If it likely breaks a policy, we prepare and submit a report through Google's own review reporting tools. No bots, no automation.
  4. Pay only if Google acts You pay within 24 hours after the review is removed. If Google keeps it up, you owe nothing.

Fake reviews and US rules

Since October 2024 the FTC's rule on consumer reviews and testimonials prohibits fake reviews and buying or selling them. Google's own policies already ban fake engagement and conflicts of interest, which is why fake reviews are the most common grounds for a successful report.

We report reviews under Google's policies. If a review is defamatory or part of an extortion attempt, talk to a lawyer as well; we do not give legal advice.

Why use a service instead of flagging it yourself?

  • A flag without the matching policy and evidence is often ignored.
  • We cite the specific policy and prepare the case for each review.
  • You never share your Google Business Profile password or access.
  • If a removed review comes back within 30 days, we re-submit it once at no cost.

Frequently asked questions

Can Google reviews be removed?

Yes, when they violate Google's content policies: fake reviews, spam, conflicts of interest, harassment, hate speech, personal information or off-topic content. Honest negative reviews from real customers cannot be removed, and we will tell you so. Google makes the final decision; removal is never guaranteed.

Can a business delete Google reviews itself?

No. A business owner cannot delete a customer's review. You can only report it to Google, and Google decides. We prepare and file that report for you through Google's official tools.

How much does it cost?

There is no upfront payment. Every case is quoted individually after a free assessment, and you pay only within 24 hours after Google removes the review. No result, no charge.

How long does it take?

We prepare and file reports with images within 1–3 business days and text-only reviews within 1–15 business days. Google's own review time is separate and varies.

Do you need access to my Google Business Profile?

No. We never ask for passwords or account access.
