Remove a Google Review From a Competitor or Ex-Employee

In short: Google's conflict-of-interest policy forbids reviews written by competitors, by current or former employees, and by anyone with a stake in the business. If you can link a review to one of them, it can be removed. FairReview prepares the report with the evidence Google needs and files it through Google's official tools. No upfront payment: if Google keeps the review, you pay nothing.

How it works

  1. Send us the review link on WhatsApp Message us the link to the specific Google review (not the business profile). One message is enough to start.
  2. Free written assessment A person on our team checks the review against Google's published content policies and tells you in writing which policy it breaks, or that it cannot be removed.
  3. Signed service agreement If you go ahead, you sign a short service agreement online that lists each review, its fee and the no-result-no-charge terms.
  4. We file through Google's official tools We prepare and submit the report with the matching policy and evidence, and you follow each review on your order tracking page. No bots, no automation.
  5. Company invoice only after removal You receive an invoice only for reviews Google removes. Standard terms: payment within 24 hours of removal, unless your agreement says otherwise. If Google keeps a review, you owe nothing for it.

Who counts as a conflict of interest

  • A competitor, or someone acting for a competitor, reviewing your business.
  • A current or former employee reviewing their employer.
  • An owner, partner or family member reviewing their own business or a rival.
  • Anyone offered money, discounts or other rewards for the review.

Evidence that helps

  • The reviewer's name or profile matched to a former employee record or a competitor's staff page.
  • Timing: the review arrived right after a dismissal, a dispute or a competitor's opening.
  • Details only an insider would know, such as internal processes or staff names.
  • Other reviews by the same account praising a competing business.

What you get with FairReview

  • A free assessment of every review link before any work starts. If a review is an honest opinion that Google will not remove, we say so.
  • A report prepared by a person, not a bot, citing the exact Google policy and the evidence for it.
  • Filing through Google's official reporting tools only. No fake accounts, no mass flagging.
  • Your own tracking page that shows the status of every review in your order.
  • No upfront payment and no deposit. You pay only after Google removes the review.
  • One free re-submission if a removed review reappears within 30 days.

Reviews we cannot remove

We decline cases that Google's policies do not cover: an honest negative review from a real customer, a disagreement about facts, or a review that is simply old. For those, a calm public reply and a steady flow of honest reviews from all your customers work better than any report. Our team has assisted more than 2,400 businesses and assessed more than 8,500 reviews, so we can usually tell you within one conversation whether a review has a policy case.

Frequently asked questions

Can I remove a Google review written by a former employee?

Yes, when the review is about your business as an employer posing as a customer review, or reveals a conflict of interest. Google's policy bans reviews from current and former employees. We build the report around the link between the reviewer and your business.

Can a competitor's review be removed?

Yes. Reviews by competitors break Google's conflict-of-interest policy. The report needs to show the connection, for example the reviewer's profile, timing or other reviews.

What if I am not sure who wrote it?

Send the link anyway. We check the account and the review for signs of a conflict of interest or fake engagement and tell you honestly whether there is a case.

How much does it cost?

There is no upfront payment. Each case is quoted after the free assessment and invoiced only after Google removes the review. No result, no charge.

Do you need access to my Google Business Profile?

No. We never ask for passwords or account access.
