Google Review Removal for UK Businesses
In short: A Google review can be removed only when it breaks Google's content policies, such as a fake review, a review from a competitor or former employee, spam, harassment or personal details. FairReview assesses every review by hand and reports it through Google's official tools. You pay nothing upfront and nothing at all if Google keeps the review.

How it works
- Send us the review link Message us on WhatsApp with the link to the specific Google review (not the business profile).
- Free policy assessment A person on our team checks the review against Google's published content policies and tells you honestly whether there are grounds to report it.
- We file the report If it likely breaks a policy, we prepare and submit a report through Google's own review reporting tools. No bots, no automation.
- Pay only if Google acts You pay within 24 hours after the review is removed. If Google keeps it up, you owe nothing.
Which Google reviews can be removed?
| Can usually be reported | Usually stays up |
|---|---|
| Fake reviews from people who were never customers | Honest 1-star reviews from real customers |
| Reviews by competitors, owners or (ex-)employees (conflict of interest) | Complaints about price, waiting time or service |
| Spam, paid or rewarded reviews | Short ratings without text from real customers |
| Harassment, hate speech, profanity or threats | Polite criticism that describes a real visit |
| Personal information, such as staff phone numbers | |
| Off-topic content or reviews about another business |
Fake reviews and UK law
Since April 2025 the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 bans fake reviews and the buying or selling of them, and the CMA enforces it. Google's policies already prohibit fake engagement and conflicts of interest, so fake reviews are the strongest grounds for a report.
We report reviews under Google's policies. If a review is defamatory or someone demands money to remove it, speak to a solicitor as well; we do not give legal advice.
Why not just flag it yourself?
- A flag without the right policy and evidence is often ignored.
- We cite the specific policy and prepare the case for each review.
- You never share your Google Business Profile login.
- If a removed review reappears within 30 days, we re-submit it once free of charge.

Frequently asked questions
Can you get a Google review removed in the UK?
Yes, if it breaks Google's content policies: fake reviews, spam, conflicts of interest, harassment, hate speech, personal information or off-topic content. Genuine negative reviews from real customers stay up. Google makes the final decision; removal is never guaranteed.
Can I delete a bad review on my Google Business Profile?
No. Business owners cannot delete customer reviews. You can report them, and Google decides. We prepare and submit that report for you.
What does it cost?
Nothing upfront. Each case is quoted after a free assessment, and you pay only within 24 hours after Google removes the review. No result, no charge.
How long does it take?
Reviews with images are reported within 1–3 business days and text-only reviews within 1–15 business days. Google's own review time is separate.
Do you need my Google login?
No. We never ask for passwords or account access.
