Google Review Removal for Hotels and Accommodation

In short: A hotel can get a Google review removed when it breaks Google's policies: a fake review from someone who never stayed, a competitor or ex-employee review, a review meant for another property, harassment of staff or personal information. Honest feedback from real guests stays up. FairReview checks each review against your booking records, files the report through Google's official tools and never needs access to your account. No upfront payment: if Google keeps the review, you pay nothing.

How it works for hotels

  1. Send us the review link on WhatsApp Message us the link to the specific Google review (not the business profile). One message is enough to start.
  2. Free written assessment A person on our team checks the review against Google's published content policies and tells you in writing which policy it breaks, or that it cannot be removed.
  3. Signed service agreement If you go ahead, you sign a short service agreement online that lists each review, its fee and the no-result-no-charge terms.
  4. We file through Google's official tools We prepare and submit the report with the matching policy and evidence, and you follow each review on your order tracking page. No bots, no automation.
  5. Company invoice only after removal You receive an invoice only for reviews Google removes. Standard terms: payment within 24 hours of removal, unless your agreement says otherwise. If Google keeps a review, you owe nothing for it.

Hotel reviews that can usually be reported

  • Reviews from people with no reservation under that name or for those dates.
  • Reviews from a competing property or a current or former employee.
  • Reviews meant for another hotel with a similar name or in the same group.
  • Reviews that name housekeeping or front-desk staff in an abusive way, or publish their details.
  • A booking dispute posted as a threat: "refund me or the review stays".

Google reviews versus reviews from other travel sites

Your Google listing can also show ratings and snippets from other travel sites. Only reviews written on Google can be reported through Google's tools; reviews from other sites have to be reported on the site where they were written.

Send us the link to the specific Google review. If it turns out to come from another site, we tell you where it has to be reported instead.

What you get with FairReview

  • A free assessment of every review link before any work starts. If a review is an honest opinion that Google will not remove, we say so.
  • A report prepared by a person, not a bot, citing the exact Google policy and the evidence for it.
  • Filing through Google's official reporting tools only. No fake accounts, no mass flagging.
  • Your own tracking page that shows the status of every review in your order.
  • No upfront payment and no deposit. You pay only after Google removes the review.
  • One free re-submission if a removed review reappears within 30 days.

Reviews we cannot remove

We decline cases that Google's policies do not cover: an honest negative review from a real customer, a disagreement about facts, or a review that is simply old. For those, a calm public reply and a steady flow of honest reviews from all your customers work better than any report. Our team has assisted more than 2,400 businesses and assessed more than 8,500 reviews, so we can usually tell you within one conversation whether a review has a policy case.

Frequently asked questions

Can a hotel remove a bad Google review?

Not directly. A hotel can report a review, and Google removes it when it breaks a content policy, for example a fake stay, a conflict of interest, harassment or personal information. Honest guest feedback stays up.

How do I show a review is from someone who never stayed?

Check the name and dates against your property management system. A screenshot showing no matching reservation, shared privately with us, helps build the report.

Can you remove reviews that come from other booking sites?

Not through Google. Ratings shown from other travel sites have to be reported on the site where they were written. We can tell you which reviews are Google's own.

How much does it cost?

No upfront payment. Each case is quoted after the free assessment and invoiced only after Google removes the review. No result, no charge.

Do you need access to our booking system or Google account?

No. We never ask for passwords or system access. You share only what is needed, privately, and we work from the public review link.
